Mailing personalised cards after your wedding is a nice and memorable way to thank your guests. We are now pleased to introduce a way for your cards to leave an even longer lasting impression - by customising them with a favourite shot from your reception, taken by our Candid Photography Package.
Now in it's fourth year, the Nathania Springs Candid Photography Package has established itself as a terrific addition to any wedding. Our photographer takes candid photos of you and your guests throughout the evening, displays them on the screen in the dining room throughout the reception, and provides them in high resolution on a disc at the end of the evening.
We recognise the quality of the photos taken with the Candid Photography Package, and want to give brides and grooms even more opportunities to share those wonderful captured moments with their family and friends.
Now, all brides and grooms who purchase the Candid Photography Package can opt to have glossy personalised thank you cards printed by Nathania Springs at a modest per-card cost.

At the annual Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence
evening in August, Nathania Springs was judged as being one of
the top 5 Wedding Reception Caterers in Victoria.
The event was hosted by Restaurant Catering Victoria, the peak professional organisation
for all restaurants and catering groups in the state.
Nathania Springs is dedicated to providing Brides,
Grooms and their guests with the best service in the industry,
earlier in the year the reception centre was voted Best In-House MC.
We would like to thank our hard-working and
enthusiastic team for all their effort in achieving such a fantastic

At this year's Australian Bridal Industry Academy awards
night,
Nathania Springs was judged Best In-House Master of
Ceremonies in Victoria.
The awards are voted on by Brides & Grooms, and
serves as a great indication that a venue is achieving results where
it matters most: in the eyes of those getting married.
Nathania Springs was also a Finalist in the
categories of Best Reception Centre, Best Ceremony Venue, and Best
Wedding Advisor.
We would like to thank all our wonderful Brides &

Nathania Springs does it again! First, on eBay!

Nathania Springs is no stranger to being an innovator in its
field. In 1980 it was the first reception centre in Victoria to
offer an on-site chapel as part of its package, and two years ago
the introduction of the candid photography
package heralded in another first for the award-winning reception
centre.
This week Nathania Springs made history for a reception centre again
by using eBay as a tool to match a bride and groom with their ideal
date. An entire wedding package was placed on the online auction
site, representing a significant saving for whoever would take the
prize.
Saturday night weddings in 2008 have become as rare as hens'
teeth, with Nathania Springs booked out until early March 2009 in the
Saturday night department. That's why when a key Saturday night
became available due to postponement, an approach had to be taken
that would give all clients an equal opportunity.
The date sold within 2 days of being listed, saving the buyer more
than $2,000 for a key date in the peak wedding season.

The Accommodation Booking Service: better than ever!

With so many fantastic bed and breakfast providers in the
beautiful Dandenong Ranges, it seems a shame not to take advantage
of this accommodation when you're having a wedding in the area. That's
why a complimentary Accommodation Booking service for guests, family
and Brides & Grooms attending weddings at Nathania Springs was
established some years ago.
The service has taken a significant step forward recently with the
bulk of the booking work now able to be organised online and new
providers coming on-board all the time.
With a click of a button, those attending weddings can view a comprehensive list of providers
recommended by Nathania Springs. The list is available for all to access, providing good quality
photos of the venues and is continually updated with the latest
prices and other relevant information.
Once guests have chosen a venue exactly suiting their style and
budget requirements, they can process their initial booking via
Nathania Springs' online booking form: perfect for people who live a
busy lifestyle.
This double edged sword allows guests to peruse through the
accommodation list in their own time, while at the same time taking
the organisational hassle out of the hands of the Bride and Groom,
allowing them to focus on matter of more importance to them.

Nathania Springs judged Best Wedding Caterer

On Monday 17 September, at an awards night at Crown Casino,
Nathania Springs received the 2007 Award of Excellence for Wedding
Caterer.
The annual event was hosted by Restaurant Catering Victoria, the peak professional organisation
for all restaurants and catering groups in the state.
"We have always strived to provide an exceptional service for our
clients, and it is thrilling to receive recognition of that. Our
staff are all very proud." said Helen and JF (Jean-François)
Célèrier, business owners and operators of Nathania Springs.
To be eligible for nomination, applicants had to undergo extensive
judging of not only how the food was prepared and presented on the
evening, but the entire management process of the wedding.
"It is particularly humbling that the award comes from Restaurant
Catering Victoria, who primarily judge their awards based on a
strict performance criteria rather than tallying votes.
"We would like to congratulate Nine Darling Street and Butleigh
Wootton, who provided us with some very tough competition in this
category."
Nathania Springs will represent Victoria as they go on to compete
for the national title to be announced in Adelaide on Monday 29
October.

Nathania Springs Goes Green(er)!

Nathania Springs takes another step in the direction of
operating a paperless office. It has been a goal of the
Dandenongs-based wedding reception centre for a number of years, and
after careful planning and consideration, efforts are now starting
to come into fruition.
Nathania Springs first moved towards operating a greener business
one year ago, when it moved all paper work associated with the
final settlement of a wedding, onto a secure area of the website.
"Instead of posting out reams upon reams of paper to all of our
clients as their weddings approached, we now simply provide our
Brides and Grooms with a password allowing them special access to a
whole catalogue of information online." Nathania Springs
manager, JF (Jean-François) Célèrier said.
"Not only does this ensure that our clients always have access to
the most recent versions of our documents, it also presents them
with the choice of either simply reading and storing on their
computer, or still printing it out, if they so desire."
Clients also receive a preliminary password immediately upon booking
with Nathania Springs, allowing them access to numerous documents to
assist with their initial planning.
However, this was just the first of many steps towards contributing
towards a more sustainable environment. The staff of Nathania Springs now receive all
news and information via a similar secured online login area, and
rostering is also handled in a similar fashion incorporating mobile
and internet technology. The brochure download facility on the
Nathania Springs website also allows clients to download the same
version of the brochure that they would receive if they were to
request a hard copy.
Paper consumption today dropped even further with the introduction
of more intelligent client management software being implemented
across the Nathania Springs office.
"The system has been developed in collaboration with a couple
married at Nathania Springs just last year!"

"They observed some areas where our routines could be improved,
and we were grateful for that. The system also dramatically improves
performance, without using one sheet of paper!"

length of an evening reception up to a total of 5 1/2 hours,
giving the clients of Nathania Springs one of the best deals available when
compared to other wedding reception venues at base package!
The best news is that you still receive free allocated ceremony (and rehearsal) time on
top of this, if held at Nathania Springs.
Special Zoom! Pricing still operates at 5 hours, however
this structure includes an unlimited alcoholic drinks package in the basic pricing

established a 'WOW Award'!
The monthly prize is awarded to staff members who have given 110% in
servicing a wedding, gone beyond their job description to ensure the
comfort of guests at a wedding or have made considerable
contributions towards improvement of back-of-house routines.
Brides, Grooms, guests and fellow staff-members are encouraged to
nominate members of the team if they are
particularly impressed with the standard of service delivered from any one staff member. Awarded staff members receive
recognition amongst their peers as well as a financial bonus.

Almost two years since the launch of multimedia options at
Nathania Springs
and the response is still as strong as ever!
More and more Brides and Grooms
are taking advantage of the
exclusive candid photography package to enhance the collection by
which they will remember their special day by.
But just how good are the photos?
"A Bride and Groom came and told us of how they fitted out
their new house with blown-up prints from the Nathania Springs
photography package, because they just love the candid, relaxed feel
that the photos conveyed." Nathania Springs manager, JF (Jean-François) Célèrier
said.
"I thought to myself - what a good idea - maybe we should do
something like that!"
And in less than a fortnight the foyer of Nathania Springs was
dressed in 6 superb quality prints, selected from past photography
packages. The resulting images can be seen when visiting the
reception centre.

Wedding Podcasts - A Growing Library of Knowledge

Isn't the internet marvellous! Whether you're
getting married at Nathania Springs or not, the expanding
collection of recorded interviews available from the Nathania
website is proving to be a great resource for prospective
brides, and grooms alike.
"Since we launched the service back in
October last year, our website has seen a great surge in people
logging on to listen to the podcasts." web designer, Jason
Deacon said.
"Even people who have booked at other venues
have sent us feedback on how they enjoy listening, which is
quite a compliment!"
The podcasts are recorded live at the Panel
Dinners run by Nathania Springs, where industry professionals
share their experiences and give advice to prospective couples,
in an informal interview scenario.
This latest batch of recordings feature
photographer Leesa Geere from Romantic Events, makeup artist
Meaghan Utting from Embellish Make-Overs and Alechia Megarry of
Bridal Dance.

of the panellists interviewed that evening.
Each recording goes for approximately 5 minutes and can be
played directly from this website, or through the iTunes podcast
directory.
We endeavour to record each of our panel discussions for
inclusion on our website, so that those unable to attend can
still hear how the evening ran, and those interested in

Cocktail Deck - A Great Spot to Entertain Your Guests After the
Ceremony

If you've been to visit us in the past few weeks you
would have no doubt seen some major developments happening near
our front courtyard! For some time we have been planning
for a cocktail deck to be built adjacent to our courtyard,
opposite the dining room and chapel, and are very excited to say
that construction on the project is now complete!
The gorgeous sweeping decking adds another magic dimension the
first part of the reception, serves as a great spot for
group photographs, and opens up the vista towards the lit garden
at night.
Construction of the physical deck is now finished, and we
will be spending the next four weeks landscaping the surrounding
gardens, including a stunning pond to be located around
and under the ramp closest to the dining room. We are all
very excited about this new addition to Nathania Springs.

Wedding Panel Dinner - A Success!

Cuisine is a very important part of every wedding and it
is becoming increasingly important to be able to sample the food
before your special day. It is for this reason why Nathania
Springs now present a Wedding Panel Dinner.
140 guests rolled up to
Nathania Springs on the October 6 and were treated to a
delightful evening of fine dining and light-hearted
entertainment. We are absolutely delighted at the response that
the evening received, so much so that we are already planning
out next one!
While the kitchen
whisks together a new menu filled with numerous delights for
sampling, our creative team will be regrouping ideas, ensuring
that the next dinner builds on the success of the previous one,
and is set to be another fantastic night all round!
Congratulations to all involved in making this Panel Dinner a
success!

Multi-media weddings have arrived at Nathania Springs Receptions in Monbulk with the installation of
a high definition plasma screen, webcam and video link.
Brides and grooms now have the option of sharing their weddings “live” with family and friends unable to attend their special day.
Loved ones can send their congratulations directly into the reception room via the 127cm state-of-the-art plasma
screen - whether they be in Australia or the other side of the world.
Owners JF (Jean-François) and Helen Célèrier say the facilities at Nathania Springs are perfect.
Positioned above the plasma screen, the camera has an uninterrupted view of the entire reception room, allowing those on-line to share in the bride and groom’s special day and those seated to see the on-line guests on the plasma screen.
Nathania Springs’ broadband connection and wireless technology now allows all concerned to share in the special day. |
