Choosing the venue
After looking at a few venues we began telling friends
about each one. Each time we mentioned Nathania Springs
people gave us many positive experiences they had there.
That coupled with the friendly reception from the staff
and beautiful setting made Nathania Springs an easy choice
The challenges
Looking back we would have to say that pleasing
everybody - parents, family, and friends was easily the
most challenging aspect. During the planning, we forgot
the most important part which was what we wanted.
Eventually we realised that we were unable to please
everyone and we found it much easier when went with our
own feelings.
The date
At first we were concerned that our guests would not be
able to attend our wedding due to summer holidays. However
our concerns were quickly dispelled as we knew we were
inviting 140 of the most important people in our lives and
each guest was very special to us. We believed that each
guest felt same about us and would have wanted to be there
anytime of the year. We were right in the end as we only
about half a dozen regrets.
The planning
Nathania Springs were extremely helpful during the
course of planning our wedding. Our initial meeting was
great. It was friendly and informative, a great help and
part of the reason we chose the venue. Following the
initial meetings we dealt with JF and he was also
fantastic. He was able to answer every question, grant
every wish, just a pleasure to deal with, very
professional. It was nice to have this aspect of our
wedding preparations stress free.
The real deal
I’m sure many Brides and Grooms have said that their
wedding day was the best day of our lives. However I would
like to know how many have said it was perfect and not a
thing went wrong. We got the perfect day, Nathania Springs
looked beautiful and at its best. The staff during our
ceremony and reception were faultless, and the whole
wedding was exactly as we planned and hoped it would be.
It may sound impossible, but we had our dream wedding. Our
thoughts about our wedding have been confirmed by many who
attended, quite often people have said that our wedding
was ‘perfect’. This was largely due to Nathania
Springs and the staff. This was highlighted by Lauren’s
brother (18 years old who is very much single, knows
nothing about weddings, relationships etc). Half way
through the night he turned to his Mum and said ‘book my
wedding at Nathania Springs Mum, this is awesome!’ Thank
you very much for making our day so special.
The style
We wanted an elegant, stylish, and classy wedding that
was very formal so we followed the traditional wedding
guidelines. We didn’t want the colours to be bold so we
chose soft pink and silver. Overview
At 5.30pm Lauren and her bridesmaids drew up in the
Armstrong Siddelely Sedans.
Just over 130 guests attend Lauren and Matthew’s late
afternoon wedding which was celebrated in the chapel at
Nathania Springs.
Silver bows on the chair covers were set off by matching
silver tablecloth underlays and silver menu ribbon ties.
Soft pink foil wrapped heart chocolates were scattered on
the tables along with silver sequin scatters.
Speeches were given by the best man, the maid of honour,
the father of the bride, the father of the groom and the
bride and groom themselves.
A beautiful dry ice mist effect was created for the bridal
Waltz to Heaven by DJ Sammy. The rest of the night
was danced away to music chosen in advance by Lauren and
Matthew, and played by the Nathania Springs DJ.
