Daysie and David's wedding

Friday 19th November 2004

"We wanted to have a perfect wedding and we embarked on a night full of fantasy, elegant celebration, colour, flavour and fun, with our family and friends. For both of us the memory of that night will last forever."

The choiceDaysie & David share their wedding experience.
Well, we decided to get married in 4 weeks. The first and most difficult to arrange was the reception venue. It was the biggest expense, and our budget was limited. We searched the internet for hours, and there was a moment where we started to panic, but there it was - exactly what we were looking for: Nathania Springs Receptions. The first time we saw it, we fell in love with the place. It is beautiful, peaceful, and very well situated.

The planning
The Nathania Springs people were very patient and understanding, we called them many times and they always listened and gave us wise advice. Even before we booked, we got support from Nathania Springs. They sat down with us to discuss the services and costs; providing us with many different alternatives. Even the day before the wedding we went there, they were busy but they took the time to find a videographer for us

They also presented us with a folder with a plan to follow. It was really helpful, we thought “well it is possible to plan a wedding in a short time… all we have to do is listen and follow suggestions from the people who have experience and not to worry.”  We noticed that all the service providers, recommended by Nathania Spring were the best. Of course we did our home work searching before booking them, but honestly; it was wasting our time, all we had to do was book them straight away.

The real deal
Our Wedding Day was wonderful; every activity was very well programmed. Following the ceremony our guests had plenty of pre-dinner savouries and drinks, simultaneous with taking photos. The menu was a stunning success and the dessert was irresistible. Our wedding waltz was very romantic, we chose the song the day before with Jean François (JF), and it was perfect.
The speeches were an expressive signal of good memories and laughter, in English and Spanish. Even the Master of Ceremonies (provided by Nathania Springs) incorporated both languages. Everyone enjoyed it. A lot of fun continued into the celebration when our guests danced to the Latin music pre-mixed by us.
We wanted to have a perfect wedding and we embarked on a night full of fantasy, elegant celebration, colour, flavour and fun, with our family and friends. For both of us the memory of that night will last forever.

The theme
We chose our wedding theme keeping in mind our culture, we are both from South America (Argentina and Venezuela) so, our dream was to have a little bit of our traditions. First we added a Venezuelan ritual into our ceremony...13 gold coins that the groom gives to the bride as a symbol of prosperity. We also added another Venezuelan custom to the reception. All the single ladies choose a little box, containing iced almonds the same colour. One has an almond in a different colour… whoever takes that one, wins a pendant, and also is the next to get married

Our colour theme started with the delightful invitation a very good friend designed for us, with hot pink tulips and our photo. We were indecisive about having hot pink or red, so we ended up having both…
We created a CD with our favourite songs as bonbonniere, and the place cards matched the invitations. The chairs were adorned with red ribbons, and the beautiful cake was adorned with hot pink flowers.
We included Latin Music. For pre-dinner we had a compilation of our traditional South American music, like Tango from Argentina, and Andes music from Peru and Bolivia, bossanova from Brazil and Waltz from Venezuela. For dancing we had Latin music as well as pop and rock.
